Used Mobility Scooters

If you are unsure about mobility scooters and have not decided if you want to invest in a brand new one, choosing a used scooter may be an ideal solution for you.

A used mobility scooter can be a cheaper alternative than buying a new model. It also gives you the opportunity to get used to riding one and deciding if you like the experience.

Most people with mobility difficulties discover a new found freedom when they take to the road or pavement on a mobility scooter and find that it does improve their quality of life hugely.

Used mobility scooters have many benefits, such as getting a quality heavy duty product, second hand, that would cost more brand new.

Some used mobility scooters will have part of their warranty remaining.

The previous owner may supply scooter accessories with the sale, meaning that you won’t have to invest in them.

Batteries on mobility scooters can be replaced easily, and if the scooter does not have any accessories, you can add some to make the scooter your own. Consider a basket for easy storage or a scooter bag that attaches to the back of the seat. You can buy scooter canopies and covers for storing your scooter and plush seating cushions to add to the enjoyment of your ride.

Consider, before you buy a second hand model, what you need your mobility scooter for; is it for shopping or to visit friends? Do you need it for shorter or longer journeys?

Scooters come in varieties of 3 or 4 wheels. The 3 wheel scooters tend to be lighter and smaller, making them easier to handle, but the 4 wheel products are sturdier because of their weight and their size. 4 wheel scooters are ideal for the larger passenger.
